Ready for christmas

Okay i know it's a bit fail that yesterday; 1st sunday of advent i chose to make a blog'post about our vacation in Spain we just came home from , instead of actually showing you guys what we spend our time on this 1st sunday of advent - cause of course we weren't just sitting and watching TV . :b

Anyway; now you're going to see it , i know it's a bit late and i probably should've made this post yesterday and waited with the vacation post for today .. But you know it's human to failure . :b 

And well it's the 1st December so consider this as the first christmas post too ! Wiiiie .

I love christmas ! And even though i'm 24 years old now i'm going back to total child'mood when we hit the 1st of December . It's the best time of the year , even though you're stressing about the christmas shopping , getting second-thoughts about the present you just bought to your mother , spending waaaaay to much money on food , decorations , gifts and stuff and eating yourself sick in nougat , marzipan and roasted post .. It's still the best time of the year .

And now that Emina is almost turning 1 we're of course going to celebrate it in a real family'style . :b

So as you can see above our 1st sunday of Advent in the little home was a sunday in the signs of creativity . We made a calender candle decoration and the advents crown - and when we finally was done with that we could sit down and enjoy hot "æbleskiver" (i don't know what the english word to descreibe this could be ?) and a glass of hot chocolate while watching Home Alone - a christmas classic wiiie

Stupid wall

I love waking up to this happy face in the morning ♥ 

Yes, yes, yes!

I went to this great jewelry'store today and guess what! They can maaaaaaybe get Mikkels gift ready in time for his birthday . Wiiiie ! The maybe wasn't a "maybe turning into a hell no that's not possible at all" - but more a "maybe turning into a we might even have it ready 1 day before" . Wiie !

It's turning out great ! And i can tell you guys , you can really look forward to seeing what i'm getting made for him . I'm so excited about it and i hope he gets just as happy about the gift as i am haha . :b

Working hard on the "wall" .

Apart my little trip to the jewelry'shop i've just been at home working hard on getting this shitty wall of ours done - it's been a 3 days project now . I started out Monday and i finally finished it today ! FINALLY .

I'm telling you guys , if i had to spend just one more freaking day on that stupid wall i would have gone crazy ! I know it's a project i chose to make myself - and of course it's not getting done in an hour . But if i had known i would take almost 3 whole days and it would be this messy i would have thought it through once more . Haha

Now it's really starting to look like something in our little home . Some people might think that it already was fine the way it looked before & that this is just going down in crazy details - but i love being creative ! And since we fianlly got our own place i really want to make it feel like my own place !

I love adding small details to a room - a big details like this . It makes it look and feel unique and more personal .. Or maybe i'm just crazy haha . :b

Anyway what do you guys think ?

Baptism till over the head

What a beauty haha . :b

First i just had to share this picture of Emina with you guys . It's from the morning and that is pretty much what Emina looks like when stretching out her body .. Such a beauty hahaha . :D

Now i know i've been rambling on out about the baptism and what kind of hard work it is for days - like weeks now and i can imagine that you're all getting pretty tired hearing about it .. I'm sorry

But there's hope forward ! Cause there's only 2 days left & then it's sunday ! And i promise i wont mention the word baptism ever again afterwards . Or well .. Promise and promise ... It's a very strong word . But i promise you guys that all my posts wont be about baptism and the preparing anylonger . But lost of other stuff ! Like my course in extensions which i'm soon going to attend .. And maybe soon a vacation to Spain for me , Emina & Mikkel .

We didn't get the chance in the summer'vacation since i got sick just up till our travel'date - and afterwards Emina got sick . She had some virus in her body & was down for like 2½ week . But it all turned out well .

So now we've been talking about taking a short vacation to visit my grand'mother in Spain .. At the start of October / middle of October . Now that she's taking her time to come & visit us for the baptism we can at least come and visit her too when we had to cancel the summer'vacation with her .

Fondant rabbits

So i've been working a bit on the cake decoration today . I'm going to do 3 cakes for the baptism - what kind of stuffing i want in them yet i don't know . But i'm sure it'll be good when i figure that out .

Right now i'm focusing on the decorating . I took this fondant-cake'decorating course as i told you guys about , and of course i want to use it for decorating Emina's baptism cakes .

So today i've been playing a bit with the fondant and it turned out like this; small sweet rabbits for the cake . Aren't they great ? Haha . :b 

Shopping list .

And i can tell you guys that it's a big project writing the shopping list for the baptism . Phewww ! Remembering and calculating out all the things we need to buy - but i managed to get it done .. or i hope so . :b Now it's just out and picking up all the stuff ..

Wish us luck ! I hope we can carry it all without getting our arms torn of haha . :b

Project cake'decorating

Before decorating . :b

Last day on the cake'decorating course & i couldn't be more satisfied with the result of todays cake . It has been fun trying , and both me and my bonus'mother had a great time , and the way the cakes turned of was just great wiie . :b

So if you're ever thinking about wanting to do a bit more out of a cake than just the regular birthday-one , then i can definitely recommend signing up for a course like this , cause once you get the idea about how to do it you can make some pretty amazing cakes . Of course you need to know how to bake and make a good cake filling too , cause if it only looks good but tastes like shit then it's really not worth it . :b

The finished result . I think i did it pretty good . :b

Pretty satisfied with the finished result . :b 

I chose to do a pretty simple cake as you can see above . The theme for the cake'decorating course was nature , and as i mentioned above i'm pretty satisfied with my finished result .
Of course all the cake decoratings was great ! But i'm really happy with mine , and now i really can't wait to do the cakes for Emina's baptism . It's going to be great !  And i think i'm ready for it now . :b

I still need some practice but i'm sure i can make some great cakes anyway . At least we're one step closer being ready to the baptism , now that i got the cake'decorating in place . Now i'm just nervous about if there's enough time for all the plannings and things we have to get ready .
